Design of overland expedition vehicle for Indian scenario

In recent years nomadic lifestyle has gained popularity more than ever before. The key contributing
factors for this trend is rapid technological innovations which has redefined the concept of
workspace. Now with a laptop and a good internet connection, a digital nomad can work from
anywhere in the world.
During recent pandemic it is seen that majority of the working professionals especially people who
need just a computer for work does not necessarily need to have an office for work. Majority of
the people can work at their comfortable working place whether its at their home or a calm place
away from the crowd.
This project is aimed at studying these Gen Z youth (who are open minded, bucket list oriented
and looking for off the beaten path location) and understanding their lifestyle aspirations and the
problems they face to design a vehicle which can give a homely experience also the adventure
they aspire in their bucket list. For this, a thorough research was conducted on aspirational nomads
and a case study was conducted on one person who is actually living this lifestyle also different
private companies which already has started their footprint in this area. All the data collected from
the research was analysed and based on the research insights a design brief was created. Various
concepts were then explored and finally the concepts were evaluated on the basis of novelty of the
idea, storage, aesthetics and experiences. Final design concept is further developed and detailed.
