Context

Self-driving cars are not a dream anymore. The automobile market has already accepted to move to an era were vehicles are autonomous. This could change the entire architecture and experience that vehicles give. Technological advancements have proved that machines can be better in certain areas and humans are able to adapt well to the machines. The future of transportation is thus expected to be more advanced and presumably safer, eliminating all the errors and stressful activity of driving through traffic. By the year of 2030, most of the automotive manufacturers will be capable of producing a high level of autonomy which makes the vehicles to have endless possibilities since there is no need for human intervention. Vehicles will be more connected and alive and own a vehicle will be choosing a right companion for yourself.

Design Brief

To design the exterior for a car to be launched in 2030 involves certain challenges. The proposed design aims to be reflective of the cutting edge technology on one hand and cater to human needs to be “free” and have more ‘fun’ through exterior activities.
